Letter from Nepal

Dear Andi,

We all along with Maya Tamang are very fine and doing well at school. She is enjoying the school days, works well and in very good health. The days are hot but the monsoon is about to start which will bring lots of rain in Nepal. The classes are going well and the days are much better and comfortable now as we can get enough supplies in market after the very hard days during last five to six months.

We are very happy to inform you about the result of class ten board exam of session 2015/2016. The new grading system has started from this year and ending the marking system of pass and fail which exit since last 80 years. Our school’s result is very promising and Indeed very good.

The Nepalese Government has changed the system from this session and ending the
System of SLC ( School Leaving Certificate). With this new system the students will get grading result like A+, A, B+, B, C+, C, D+, D and E. No one will mark as pass and fail. This is indeed a new starting and big change in education system in Nepal.

Among 15 class ten appeared students from our school, two students got A+, two students got ‘A’, nine students got ‘B plus’ and two students got ‘B’ grade. We are very happy with the out come of our students. We share this wonderful success and happiness with you.

With all our warmest Greetings and love to you…

Marshyangdi school
Kathmandu Nepal.
