Hey Y’all and Namaste 🙂

It has been a while since I updated this here, but this doesn’t mean, our association has slept.. 🙂 It is great because things happen silently but they  do happen. I was lucky to have two visitors from Nepal this year. Nima was able to spend three months here getting to know some of the “Godparents” of our “Hill-children” himself and learning lots of new things. One of the new experiences was “how to make “moscht”  – cider” ..

Our children will receive the money of their Godparents soon and this way we hope that their parents can cover the rest of the school year costs.. We still haven’t had a chance to get into the school uniforms.. but decided that next year we will start a full sponsorship with one of the children who has left the village school. The schools are far from our imagination. Kandi will be sent to a boarding school in KTM. I know the principal myself, she is an incredible woman and has my full trust. I sure hope that Kandi will be able to take the chance and make the best of it even if she will most probably have to start with the little ones again. It does need strength and inner will to (nevertheless) walk the road that we are able to send her on. We can’t promise anything. But this is a chance we can offer.. and then I sure hope for the future of this girl.. whatever she does .. she will have had the experience of what education is. It is struggle and hard work as much as pleasure.. and I hope Kandi will be able to treasure it.. just like “our” Maya seems to do.

We will see.

Thanks to all our sponsors .. who are supporting regularly…and to all the people who have listened and opened their hearts whenever we get to speak about our little Nepal association.. WE ARE sending best vibes and sunbeams out into this grey world.. 🙂 We are changing something with best intentions… no more can be done! Love you all.. NAMASTE!!!!!!!

Will write more soon. THANK YOU!

some tiny news..

although there has been a lot of nothing on the page.. there is always something happening .. my school has given up it’s clothes “company” and has given all the samples to our little “Verein”. I will still have to organize the transport .. but luckily my other transporting problem has just been solved. Biswo has taken the school maps which the school has gotten rid of…  well .. we could call this … “thrown away” .. To Nepal …. I am quite happy with the fact that he considered the material worth taking.. ! (Here the digital age… brings its own “cultural revolution” .. and we are all doing it to ourselves.. )

He will get in touch with our friends at schools there.. and so hopefully each one of them will be able to work with it.

We have also gotten in touch with the Project “Besuch im Anderland” (a visit in the land of “different”… ) and Biswo will try to open the nepali branch.

We are also waiting for Nima to get a visa, so he can be here and we can plan, visit and organize more!

Have a great great summer.. Namaste!

Warmest greetings,,,,

Dear Andrea Berner,
Warmest greetings and Namaste,,,,
Hope,, this mail will find you in the best of your health. It has been almost two
months since we started our new session 2018/2019. Maya Tamang is in very
good health and enjoying every moment of school activities. This year she
is studying in class four and doing good as usual.
The weather is pretty good as of frequent rain this year. It seems the monsoon will
start very soon. No more hotter days this year… It's always under 30 Celsius. We
are busy with the regular daily classes and the extra activities among the four houses.
The kids often have competitions like; hand writing, speech, drawings/paintings,
debate, easy writing, poem writing and recitation, spelling competition, quiz etc.
These activities help young minds to develop diverse talents and their young minds
to creative pursuits. Besides,, we have cultural dance classes to learn and know
about their culture and heritage. And also different games and sports to develop their
body, mind and spirit of sports. It's very nice to see our kids enjoying every activities
and learn extra things. Maya is also active and interested in many of the extra activities
through out the year and doing pretty well.
The best thing happening now in Nepal is no more political disturbances. No more
strikes and no more closures. We are having regular school days and its pretty good
feeling that the good days are now starting. Hope and pray that we will have same
kind of atmosphere in the days to come.
It's always a great feeling and a great inspiration for us if we could hear from you.
Thanks for all your love, effort and continuing support. With all our heartiest appreciation,
good wishes and love to you and your family.
With warmest namaste,,,,,
